When I was a child, my grandmother (we call her "Sugar") would let me eat off of the "Special Plate" for lunch when I came to visit her. This truly made me feel like I was very special, and it was one of the many things I looked forward to when I came to visit my grandparents.
Now I'm older, and want to start my own traditions. My sister gave me a "Special Plate" for my birthday one year, and I'm returning the favor by giving her a "Special Plate" for her graduation.
